Workshop - Ceramic Lamp

What happens when you combine clay and light? Not just an interior decoration piece, but a small source of coziness for your home that comes especially alive as evening falls. During the workshop, we will create clay lamps. The shape and decoration can be completely different: minimalist geometry, natural motifs, mountains, a starry sky, or your own design. The openings in the ceramic also become part of the design — as light passes through them, it creates unusual patterns on the walls and ceiling. How the process works: • create the shape of the future lamp by hand; • design the pattern and plan the placement of the openings; • add relief, textures, and other decorative details; • decorate the piece with engobes; • after drying, the lamp will go through firing and glazing. The price already includes everything you need: clay, tools, engobes and glazes, firings, as well as the lamp itself. You will not need to purchase any additional parts for the finished lamp. After the workshop, your piece will remain at ArtLav: the clay needs about a week to dry slowly and properly, after which it will go through firing and glazing. The finished lamp can be picked up in approximately 10 days. No previous ceramics experience is required. In the end, you will have a functional interior piece designed and made with your own hands.
