About the event
On July 5 at 18:00, the Armenian State Philharmonia, Babajanyan Concert Hall,
will host “HORIZONS OF CREATION. Music and Painting”.
The evening features Arusyak Hekimyan on violin and Hovhannes Manukyan on piano.
Prior to the concert, the foyer of the concert hall will host the opening of a
solo exhibition by painter Zara Mkrtchyan.
The program includes Hovhannes Manukyan’s 4 Pieces for Violin and Piano (2025,
premiere) and 3 Preludes for Piano and Phonogram (2019), Johann Sebastian Bach’s
Praeludium and Fughetta in F major BWV 901 and Suite in E major BWV 817, Wayne
Shorter’s “Footprints”, and Olivier Messiaen’s Theme and Variations for Violin
and Piano (1932) and Fantasia for Violin and Piano (1933).
