About the event

On May 27, at 19:00, at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall, the Tagharan Ancient Music Ensemble presents a solo concert of Gayane Ghambaryan, soprano, laureate of international competitions, entitled “De España Vengo”.   The evening will feature excerpts from Spanish zarzuelas, as well as traditional Spanish songs.   Artistic Director and Conductor: Sedrak Yerkanyan, Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Armenia. In the programme: Part I • Pablo Luna: "De España vengo" Concha's romance from the Zarzuela "Las hijas del Zebedeo" ("The Jewish Boy") • Carlos Guastavino: "La rosa y el sauce" • Gerónimo Giménez: "Sierras de Granada" - Maria's romance from the zarzuela "La Tempranica" ("The early girl") • Miguel Sandoval: "Sin tu amor" • Miguel Marqués: "Lagrimas mías" - Margarita's romance from the zarzuela "El anillo de hierro" ("The iron ring") • Agustín Lara: "Granada"   Part II • Ruperto Chapí: "Carceleras" - Luisa's song from the zarzuela "Las hijas del Zebedeo" ("The Daughters of Zebedeo") • Federico Moreno Torroba: "La Petenera" - Valentina's romance from the zarzuela "La Marchenera" ("The Woman form Marchena") • Ernesto Lecuona: "María la O" - Maria La O's romance from the eponymous zarzuela • Gerónimo Giménez & Manuel Nieto: "Me llaman la primorosa" - Elena’s aria from the zarzuela “El barbero de Sevilla" ("The Barber of Seville") • José María Cano: "Hijo de la luna" ("Son of the Moon")   Arrangements by Sedrak Yerkanyan. The “Ayas” Dance School will take part in the concert.   Artistic director: Asya Tadevosyan.
