Theatre - THE GREAT SILENCE
About the event
The performance reflects the last tragic days in 1915 of the martyr writers of the Armenian Genocide — Daniel Varujan, Ruben Sevak, and the Great Komitas. The Turkish authorities tried to annihilate the Armenian people not only physically but also occupied their homeland, yet they could not kill their spiritual potential. The great historical tragedy is summarized in Dramatic Theatre’s production of "The Great Silence". The performance urges the audience today not to forget the past and to remain demanding.
