About the event

We invite you to a public talk with an urbanist: Why Does a City Need Public Transport? A city doesn’t need another shopping mall. A city doesn’t need another parking lot. A city needs proper public transport! At the meeting, we will discuss: Why in some cities the tram is a source of pride, while in others it’s a punishment? Why minibuses are seen as a “given” rather than a problem? And most importantly — what needs to be done so that public transport is convenient for everyone, not just for those without a car? We will talk honestly — how modern public transport is designed, why a city cannot develop without it, and which solutions actually work. Speaker — Mikhail Popov, urbanist from Chelyabinsk. If you care about what your city will look like in 10 years — come! Wednesday, March 11 Guest gathering at 19:15, start at 19:30
