About the event

On November 13 at 7:00 PM, a unique concert will take place at the Chamber Music House in the heart of Yerevan. Experience the unforgettable soundtracks from the world-famous anime films «Howl’s Moving Castle», «Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind», «Spirited Away», and «My Neighbor Totoro», composed by the legendary Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi. Immerse yourself in the magical world of his music performed with emotion and brilliance by Mystery Ensemble. An unforgettable evening for the whole family is guaranteed.   Throughout his long career, Joe Hisaishi has composed music for films, anime, video games, television, and advertising. He also created the musical theme for the 1998 Nagano Paralympic Games. He is best known for his scores for the iconic films of Takeshi Kitano and, of course, the animated masterpieces of Hayao Miyazaki.   Hisaishi and Miyazaki represent one of the greatest creative partnerships in modern cinema. It is impossible to say whether Miyazaki's films became masterpieces because of Hisaishi's music, or whether Hisaishi's music became immortal thanks to Miyazaki's films.   Enjoy an extraordinary concert in the intimate and atmospheric setting of the Chamber Music House for a truly memorable evening.   Joe Hisaishi is one of Japan's most celebrated composers. In 1982 he released his first album, «Information». In 1983, Isao Takahata recommended the young composer to Hayao Miyazaki to create an image album for the manga «Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind». Miyazaki was so impressed that he invited Hisaishi to compose the soundtrack for the film adaptation as well. This project brought him international recognition, and he went on to compose music for all of Miyazaki's subsequent films.   Hisaishi has won the Japanese Academy Award for Best Film Score a record four times. Three of these awards were for Takeshi Kitano's films «Sonatine» (1993), «The Boys Are Back» (1996), and «Fireworks» (1997). He also composed the scores for «Scenes by the Sea» (1992), «Kikujiro» (1999), «Brother of the Yakuza» (2001), «Dolls» (2002), and «Yamato» (2005).   Don't miss the opportunity to attend this extraordinary and peaceful November concert for the whole family.   The concert is organized by RED EVENTS & Distribution ltd, a creative agency producing unique cultural events in historic mansions, rooftops, flower greenhouses, and other atmospheric venues across Armenia, the United Kingdom, Europe, Russia, and other countries.
