Harry Potter. Mystery Ensemble. Multimedia Concert On December 19 at 7:00 PM, a unique multimedia concert will take place in the heart of Yerevan at the renowned Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall. During the evening, the music from the famous Harry Potter film series will be performed by the Mystery Ensemble orchestra.   The film soundtrack was masterfully created by the world-famous composer John Williams. He composed the music in his homes in Los Angeles and Tanglewood and recorded it in September 2001 at London’s Abbey Road and Air Lyndhurst studios. The film features many distinctive leitmotifs, most of which were repeated in the second installment, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.” The main composition, “Hedwig’s Theme,” appears in a modified form throughout all the films. The soundtrack was released on CD on October 30, 2001.   The soundtrack achieved “gold” status in Canada on December 14, 2001 (50,000 copies), and in Japan in January 2002 (100,000 copies). In 2002, John Williams was nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Original Score, but lost to Howard Shore, who composed the music for another fantasy masterpiece, “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring,” which can also be heard at our concerts.   The album was a success, reaching 48th place on the Billboard 200 and second place on the Top Soundtracks chart.
