Cinema - I play Rocky

An aspiring actor Sylvester Stallone writes a screenplay about a young boxer named Rocky. A major Hollywood studio wants to purchase this brilliant project, but Stallone is only willing to sell it on the condition that he himself plays the lead role. The studio bosses do not take the ambitions of this young upstart—whose face is partially lopsided and whose speech is marked by impediments—seriously. Stallone turns down a substantial fee for his script, a decision that condemns his family to years of hardship. Yet, he is undeterred; Stallone has absolute faith in the project’s success and is determined to do whatever it takes to ensure that the film of his dreams is made exactly as he envisions it—with himself in the starring role.
